Sequans Communications S.A. has announced that Micro-Star International Co., Ltd., or MSI, has adopted its LTE chip technology for the design of S100 Note LTE, a new 2-in-1 LTE tablet and keyboard. Sequans LTE provides category 4, 150 Mbps speed and other advanced features, making it ideal as a basis for the high-performance S100 Note LTE." The Sequans technology inside the S100 Note LTE is the VZ20M EZLinkLTE module, which is certified compliant with Verizon Wireless Open Network specifications and operates on LTE bands 4 and 13. VZ20M is an M.2 module based on Sequans' Mont Blanc LTE platform.

Mont Blanc is a single-mode LTE chipset platform compliant with 3GPP release 9 specifications. It delivers category 4 throughput of up to 150 Mbps and supports eMBMS (LTE broadcast) and other advanced features. The VZ20M module includes all elements necessary for a complete LTE modem system.

These include an LTE-optimized RF transceiver and a complete dual-band RF front-end for LTE bands 4 and 13, key interfaces, LP-DDR SDRAM, embedded boot Flash, and VC-TCXO, all in a single, compact package, 30 x 42 x 2.3 mm. Sequans' EZLinkLTE modules are pre-tested, pre-integrated, and pre-certified and support all major operating systems, including Android, Windows, Linux, Google Chrome, and MAC OS.
