the  international  newspaper  group,  today  announced  that   Peter
Holmlund, Executive Producer of MSN.se in Sweden, has been  appointed
Managing Director of Metro International's global online division.

Mr. Holmlund has an extensive background from online media and  joins
Metro International from a position  as Executive Producer at  MSN.se
where he initiated and implemented  a restructuring process of  MSN's
organization. Following these  changes, MSN became  the most  visited
website in Sweden in the summer of 2008. During Mr. Holmlund's tenure
at MSN,  the  share  of  online  revenues  derived  from  its  portal
activities increased from 30% to 50%.

Between March 2005 and  December 2006, Mr.  Holmlund worked at  Metro
International as  Editor-in-Chief  for Global  Online.  Mr.  Holmlund
started  his  career  as  web  editor  at  aftonbladet.se  where   he
subsequently held various positions and  he holds a Bachelor of  Arts
in Journalism.

Per Mikael Jensen CEO and  President of Metro International says:  "I

Mexico and  Chile and  we can  see healthy  growth both  in terms  of
