Kuala Lumpur - Manulife Insurance Berhad kicks off the year with the opening of a new branch on the East Coast - Kota Bharu, Kelantan. This new office joins Manulife Malaysia's network as the 10th branch office in Malaysia and will function as a service center catering to the financial needs for the people of Kelantan.

"This year, Manulife Malaysia enters its 50th year helping Malaysians prepare for their financial future and we are proud to now be here in Kota Bharu. This opening means we are closer to this local community and better equipped to support their financial, protection and retirement needs. This new branch office will also offer convenience for customers with facilities such as collection of cheques and premium payments, customer advice and support on policy status," said George Chew, Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Insurance Berhad during the official opening ceremony.

"The standard of living in Malaysia has improved and people are living longer. Considering this, Manulife will focus its efforts to help customers weather the unexpected during their life with a range of innovative products from living benefits to retirement solutions. Hence, we are pleased to share our new medical plan, ManuCare Plus with a "As Charged Room and Board" benefit option that helps to protect against increasing healthcare costs besides taking care of your hospitalisation bills," added Chew.

In conjunction with today's opening, Manulife donated medical rehabilitation aid equipment worth RM5,000 to Rumah Seri Kenangan as part of Manulife's commitment to the local community. Besides this, Manulife also held a blood donation drive to encourage the company's agents and employees to be proactive at giving back to the community.
