Lucapa Diamond Company Limited is an Australia-based diamond miner and explorer with assets across Africa and Australia. The Company has interests in two producing diamond mines in Angola (Lulo, in which it holds 40%) and Lesotho (Mothae, in which it holds 70%). The Company also owns 100% of the Merlin Diamond Project in the Northern Territory of Australia. Its Lulo Alluvial Mine is an approximately 3000 square kilometers (km2) concession that is prolific alluvial diamond fields. Lulo Alluvial Mine lies in Angolaâs diamond heartland of Lunda Norte, 630 kilometers (km) east of the capital, Luanda. The Mothae Kimberlite Mine is located in the Kingdom of Lesotho. The Merlin Diamond Project encompasses two tenements consisting of a 24 km2 mineral lease and 210 km2 exploration license which encompasses the mineral lease. The Mineral Lease contains 11 previously discovered kimberlite pipes in three clusters, namely North, Centre and South.
