Linde announced on Tuesday that it had signed a record number of small 'on-site' production projects last year, lining up a fourth year of growth in the field.

The industrial gases manufacturer says it has signed a total of 53 new small supply contracts in 2023, worth around $270 million.

Linde, which points out that the design of on-site supply systems is based on its proprietary 'Ecovar' technology, stresses that demand has been driven by nitrogen-related applications, widely used in batteries for electronic products or electric vehicles.

The group stresses that its 'Vitron' oxygen supply technology, for its part, has benefited from the strength of glass and metal manufacturing activities.
