LG Electronics is launching new low-cost smartphones in Korea in an attempt to ward off increased competition from Xiaomi and Huawei. The company will begin selling the K10 smartphone 14 January 2016 with SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus. The suggested retail price for the LG mobile will be around KRW 200,000 before subsidies.

A consumer who signs up with one of the carriers for a monthly pricing plan may get the LG phone for less than KRW 60,000. The K10 features a 5-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5.3-inch HD screen.
