GOWEX continues its growth plans to obtain the highest possible number of WiFi Smart Cities. The GOWEX WiFi user is becoming a worldwide user.

Madrid, 29th January. -GOWEX (GOW-MAB, ALGOW-NYSE Alternext), leader in the development of WiFi Smart Cities (Wireless Smart Cities ®) and WiFi Intelligent Transport has signed a roaming agreement with AT&T Wireless, major U.S. carrier and one of the largest in the world. GOWEX will develop WiFi networks that are focused on the service sector: AT&T Wireless WiFi hotspots are located in hospitality establishments, franchises like Starbucks or McDonalds, as well as post offices, public buildings, hotels, etc.

GOWEX users may now enjoy of WiFi access in important cities such as Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco or Las Vegas. The customers of AT&T Wireless will also have today access to over 65 GOWEX WiFi cities   with internet in public spaces, transportation, retail outlets or across the street. (Such as Madrid, Paris, Buenos Aires, Dubai, Dublin, etc).


GOWEX WiFi Roaming Platform

GOWEX WiFi Roaming patented platform consolidates every year as one of the major recurring revenue streams for the company, which supports largely the sustainability of its business model. Network service revenues s (access, roaming, offloading and interconnection), included in the GOWEX Wireless division, and rose by 79% between 2010 and 2011.

We must remember that GOWEX announced last January 15 a similar agreement with Deutsche Telekom AG that added the coverage of the company with 29,000 new WiFi hotspots, mainly in Europe and USA.
