Lend Lease Group : Woodlands on a high note with Daryl Braithwaite and stage two of District Park opening

Thousands of people attended a free concert by Australian great Daryl Braithwaite on Saturday helping Woodlands launch Stage Two of their District Park while their latest land release 'Willow Rise' was also launched.

Braithwaite took to the stage at the Woodlands District Park wowing the crowd with a combination of hits from his days as lead singer of Sherbet through to his solo hits 'Wild Horses' and 'One Summer'.

Before the rocker mesmerized the crowd Logan Mayor Pam Parker officially cut the ribbon opening the latest stage of The Woodlands District Park which includes a dogs-off-leash area, agility course, fitness equipment and public art by the Beenleigh Young Chamber of Commerce.

Earlier Woodlands launched the latest land release in 'Willow Rise' offering 13 blocks including three with park frontage, ranging from 321m² to 838 m², with prices starting from $162,000.

Woodlands Project Director Greg Tupicoff said the day was a great success for several reasons. "We have received strong interest in Willow Rise because the village offers some of the best views in Woodlands and they are in a great location.

"We were also particularly thankful to Mayor Parker for taking the time out of her busy schedule to officially open stage 2 of the Woodlands District Park. Residents with dogs will find Stage 2 very useful as we discovered on Saturday with many owners and their pets taking advantage of the new stage as soon as it was opened."

Mr Tupicoff also thanked Daryl Braithwaite for his performance that united the community in song and laughter. "Daryl had something for everyone and his performances just seem to get better. He had everyone up singing by the end of the day and it was truly a special moment for Woodlands and all who were there."
