BRUSSELS (Reuters) - EU antitrust regulators opened an in-depth investigation into Korean Air Lines' proposed takeover of Asiana Airlines, warning that the deal may reduce competition in the passenger and air cargo markets between Europe and South Korea.
The European Commission said it would decide by July 5 on the deal between South Korea's first and second largest airlines.
