Zaandam, the Netherlands - Ahold today announced that the appeal period regarding the court approval of the settlement of the class action in the United States, which it has referred to in its annual reports as the "Waterbury litigation", has expired and the settlement is now final.  Ahold previously announced on May 21, 2014 that it had reached the settlement which was subject to the approval of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
