NEW YORK, Jan. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) reported its preliminary traffic results for December 2011. Traffic in December increased 14.3 percent from December 2010, on a capacity increase of 17.1 percent.

Load factor for December 2011 was 80.2 percent, a decrease of 1.9 points from December 2010. JetBlue's preliminary completion factor was 99.9 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 83.5 percent. JetBlue's preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of December increased nine percent year over year.
