San Francisco - TPG, a global alternative asset firm, announced today it has named R. Halsey Wise as a Senior Advisor.

In his role, Wise will advise TPG on its investment activities and portfolio in healthcare IT, an effort that is led by the firm's healthcare and software and enterprise technology ('software') teams. 'Having worked with TPG for more than a decade through my roles at Intergraph, WellSky, and evaluating a variety of other companies, I have seen firsthand how its software and healthcare teams work to build industry-leading businesses,' said Wise. 'I am excited to extend our partnership even further in my new capacity as Senior Advisor, and look forward to working with Nehal, Jeff, and their teams to support their strategy and portfolio in the healthcare IT space.'

'Providers and payors are increasingly looking to technology as a tool for improving connectivity and efficiency, and enhancing patient care,' said Nehal Raj and Jeff Rhodes, Partners at TPG. 'Halsey's joining better positions us to capitalize on these trends and builds on our investment efforts in the rapidly evolving healthcare IT space. His industry insight, leadership, and knowledge of TPG's strategy and ethos make him an ideal partner. We are fortunate to have him on board.'
