(Alliance News) - Intesa Sanpaolo Spa on Monday said it will present tomorrow in Taormina new measures dedicated to the development of the tourism industry, to support the growth of companies in the sector and seize the opportunities provided by PNRR and ministerial initiatives.

Italy's leading bank renews its commitment to tourism with EUR10 billion of new credit, of which EUR3 billion is earmarked for companies in southern Italy, adding to about EUR9 billion of liquidity already provided to the sector since 2020.

"This new intervention in favor of tourism businesses is part of the levers provided for in the "Your future is our business" program of the Banca dei Territori Division headed by Stefano Barrese, which allocates EUR120 billion until 2026 for investments by Italian companies and dedicates specific support to Tourism and Agribusiness, strategic sectors for the country's economy," reads the released note.

Intesa Sanpaolo on Monday trades in the green by 1.2 percent at EUR3.59 per share.
