Internacional de Cer?mica, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 3,126.48 million compared to MXN 2,903.49 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 27.58 million compared to MXN 286.86 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.19 compared to MXN 1.95 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.19 compared to MXN 1.95 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was MXN 9,041.43 million compared to MXN 7,795.3 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 200.82 million compared to net loss of MXN 264.59 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.41 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 1.81 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.41 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 1.81 a year ago.
Internacional de Ceramica, S.A.B. de C.V. is engaged in the manufacturing of ceramic and porcelain tile in North and Central America. The Company manufactures and distributes accents and natural stones as well. The Company offers products in various categories, such as natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, glass, quarry, decorative, green squared, high density, digital technology, made in the Unites States, wall and special order. It offers products for residential use, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, living rooms and exterior, as well as for commercial use, including restaurant, entertainment, hospitality, retail and healthcare/institutional. The Company's distribution system in the Unites States includes approximately 10 Company-owned showrooms, over three distribution centers and approximately 50 independent distributors throughout the Unites States and Canada, as well as over 300 retail locations throughout Mexico, Asia and Central America.
