The chip company Infineon is losing its only woman on the Management Board.

Constanze Hufenbecher, who took over the newly created Digital Transformation department in 2021, will leave Infineon when her contract expires in April 2024, the company announced on Tuesday in Neubiberg near Munich. "The Digital Agenda, which was developed under her leadership, is an important factor in enabling Infineon to achieve its ambitious corporate goals," explained CEO Jochen Hanebeck.

Hufenbecher said that she wanted to complete all projects by the end of her contract, but that she was "also looking forward to new professional challenges". Before joining Infineon, she was Head of Finance at Lufthansa subsidiary Lufthansa Technik for four years.
