TORONTO - Two IBI Group architecture projects won UrbanToronto's "Best Toronto Building of 2014" poll held last week.

The Delta Toronto hotel, designed by Page+Steele/IBI Group Architects, and the L Tower high-rise condominium, for which IBI Group was architect of record, shared first place in the poll.

The Delta Toronto hotel, located in Toronto's downtown South Core district, opened to the public on November 27. It's the first dedicated standalone hotel to open in downtown Toronto in more than 20 years. The 46-storey glass tower has 567 guest rooms, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor pool, and 17,000 sq ft of meeting and conference space.

Other buildings in the competition included the Aga Kahn Museum and Ismaili Centre (Institutional category), Hive Lofts (Mid-Rise Residential), Fashion House (Mid-Rise Residential), Waterlink at Pier 27 (High-Rise Residential), and Ivory on Adelaide (High-Rise Residential).

UrbanToronto.ca is Toronto's premier website focused on condos, architecture, urban development, and real estate. The poll was limited to registered members of the site.
