Huarong International Financial Holdings Limited provided group earnings guidance for the six months ended June 30, 2017. The group is expected to record a significant increase in profit attributable to owners of the company for the Relevant Period, which would represent not less than 150% increase when comparing to the profit of approximately HKD 217.7 million attributable to the owners of the Company for the six months ended 30 June 2016. The significant increase in the profit for the Relevant Period compared to the Corresponding Period was mainly due to the following factors: the increase in operating profit from the asset management and direct investment segment as a result of the expansion of direct investment business; the increase in financial advisory fees and underwriting commission generated by the corporate finance segment as a result of the increase in financial advisory services and underwriting services provided during the Relevant Period; and the growth of the fee income and interest income from the securities segment as a result of the expanded margin loans portfolio during the Relevant Period comparing to that of the Corresponding Period.
