Hope, Inc. provided consolidated earnings guidance for the quarter ending June 2021. For the quarter, the company expects net sales of JPY 34,084 million, operating loss to be in the range of JPY 5,038 million to JPY 5,914 million, loss attributable to owners of parent to be in the range of JPY 5,087 million to JPY 5,964 million and basic loss per share to be in the range of JPY 826.80 to JPY 969.19.
Hope Inc is a Japan-based company engaged in advertising, energy and media businesses. The Company operates through three business segments. Energy segment offers GENEWAT, an electricity retail service that helps local governments reduce costs. Advertising segment offers two kinds of services. The smart resource (SR) service purchases advertising space in various media such as homepages owned by local governments, public relations papers, salary statements distributed to public employees, and envelopes and sells them to private companies. The smart creation (SC) service, in the form of collaborative issuance with local governments, recruits advertisers to produce information booklets for residents and donates the booklets to local governments. Media segment utilizes the relationships with local governments cultivated in the advertising business to provide business to government (BtoG) marketing services, Jichitai Works, and Jichitai Works HA x SH information distribution platform.
