June 27 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs has hired former Honeywell International CEO Darius Adamczyk as its advisory director and chairman of Private Asset Investments and Operations, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Thursday.

In his new role, Adamczyk will work with Goldman Sachs' investing and value accelerator leadership teams, which focus on potential new investments.

Adamczyk joined Honeywell in 2008 and has held several key roles including that of chief operating officer and later CEO.

"This is an exciting time to join Goldman Sachs, as they deploy the significant capital the firm has raised across a broad range of investment strategies," Adamczyk said in the memo.

Honeywell named Vimal Kapur as the CEO last year, replacing Adamczyk who held the position since 2017. (Reporting by Pritam Biswas in Bengaluru; Editing by Shailesh Kuber)
