Walter is known to Guests and Team Members for opening doors and opening hearts. Walter is typically the first Team Member Guests see when they come to the hotel and he is waiting to greet them with a big, warm smile. An ambassador of hospitality for the hotel, Walter took it upon himself to learn how to welcome Guests in several different languages, including Chinese, surprising and delighting visitors from all over the world.

Committed to always learning and perfecting his hospitality skills, Walter has voluntarily taken more than 60 courses through Hilton University in communication techniques, leadership and other competencies that help him deliver exceptional service and create heartfelt experiences.

Dedicated to delivering the same level of hospitality to fellow Team Members, Walter recently led a group of volunteers in decorating for the hotel's year-end party. He rallied the group with his creative ideas and positive energy. Walter also serves as the Blue Energy Champion for the hotel, representing all Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana Team Members in the way they deliver hospitality to the local Community.
