(Ålesund, 6 November 2015) HAVFISK achieved operating revenues of NOK 267 million in the third quarter 2015, which is NOK 29 million higher than the same period in 2014. EBITDA came to NOK 87 million in the third quarter 2015, an increase of NOK 2 million compared with the third quarter in 2014.

Income per operating day is 10 per cent lower in the third quarter 2015 compared with the corresponding period last year. This is mainly due to increased fishing for shrimp and reduced catches of cod compared with the same period last year. The catch rates (catch volume per operating day) for shrimp were as expected lower than for cod, haddock and saithe, but with higher prices. Shrimp and other species represent 35 percent of the total volume in the quarter and 41 percent of the catch value, against 19 percent both in volume and value in the third quarter of 2014.

-In the third quarter more shrimp and other species have been fished than in the same period in 2014. Increased utilization of all fishing opportunities available to us is in line with our harvest strategy, says CEO Webjørn Barstad.

In the quarter the achieved average price for all harvested volume increased by 18 percent compared with the third quarter in 2014.

-The prices for cod and shrimp have increased in the third quarter compared to the same period in 2014. The market for haddock has been challenging and the prices have fallen, says CEO Barstad.

-Overall, we are satisfied with increasing the profitability in the quarter, while still having the most valuable quotas left for the fourth quarter. We therefore expect that the fleet will be in continuous operations for the rest of the year, says Barstad.

Operating revenues for HAVFISK came to NOK 267 million in the third quarter 2015, against NOK 296 million in the corresponding period in 2014. EBITDA came to NOK 87 million against NOK 85 million in the third quarter 2014. EBIT in the third quarter 2015 came to NOK 56 million against NOK 51 million in the same period in 2014. The profit before tax was NOK 44 million for the quarter, compared with NOK 30 million in the third quarter of 2014.

HAVFISK's available liquidity, including drawing rights, totalled NOK 146 million at the end of the third quarter of 2015, compared with NOK 176 million at the end of the second quarter of 2015.

Net interest-bearing debt was NOK 959 million at the end of the third quarter 2015. This is NOK 14 million higher than the end of the last quarter.

HAVFISK had a total equity of NOK 914 million by the end of the third quarter 2015, corresponding 36.2 per cent.

On 9 October 2015, Norway and Russia signed the fisheries agreement for 2016. It was agreed to continue a cod quota of 894,000 tonnes, which is the same as this year's quota. The quota for haddock is increased to 244,000 tonnes, in line with the harvesting rule, up from 223,000 tonnes this year. The Norwegian haddock quota will thus be 118,700 tonnes, including the research quota. The qouta for saithe in 2016 will increase with about 7 percent compared to this year`s quota.

- HAVFISK has a solid quota basis for 2016. In addition to stable quotas of cod and some increase in the quotas for haddock and saithe, HAVFISK will also fish for shrimp, Greenland halibut, silver smelt and red fish in 2016, says CEO Webjørn Barstad.
