For the second quarter, the company announced operating income was PHP 63.604 million compared to PHP 89.687 million a year ago. Net loss was PHP 2.210 million compared to net income of PHP 8.717 million a year ago. Basic eps - continuing operations was PHP 0 compared to PHP 0.01 a year ago. For the half year, operating income was PHP 66.391 million compared to PHP 133.060 million a year ago. Net loss was PHP 69.098 million compared to PHP 15.135 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.08 compared to PHP 0.02 a year ago.
Harbor Star Shipping Services, Inc. is a Philippines-based integrated maritime service provider. The Company offers a range of maritime services, such as harbor assistance, towing, lighterage, ship salvage, marine construction, repair and maintenance works, wreck removal, firefighting, oil spill abatement and recovery, handling hazardous chemical, ship and crew management, diving and underwater marine works. Its business segments include harbor assistance and renewable energy. The Company's harbor assistance services include docking and undocking various types and sizes of vessels with its diversified fleet. Its towing service provides both regular and emergency towing throughout the Philippines and its neighboring territories. Its lighterage service provides transporting of various commodities using its tug and barge tandems, such as coal, iron and nickel ore, clinker, aggregates, and similar products.
