GTT announces that it has obtained an Approval in Principle (AiP) from Lloyd's Register, a leading provider of classification and compliance services to the marine and offshore industries.

This AiP has been granted for the use of an innovative digital solution to assess ballooning activity, in order to optimize the maintenance of LNG membrane containment systems.

The solution is based on GTT's 'Sloshing Virtual Sensor' technology, using a digital tank twin, also designed by GTT, and real-time operational data from floating units (FSRU2, FLNG3 and LNGC4) to track the evolution of parameters critical to tank integrity.

We are convinced that this solution has the potential to become an industry standard in the years to come", says GTT.
