Green Compliance Investing for Growth in Scotland

As the water management business within APC Technology Plc we are pleased to announce that we are making a significant investment in our Scottish business to build a platform for future growth while at the same time launching our innovative new Real Time Online monitoring solution nationally.

Expanding Presence

Building on a solid period of development within Scotland, the Board have decided to invest heavily in our Falkirk business to support the needs of our current customers and to provide the foundations for future growth.  The local team has been augmented with three new posts being created and an internal promotion to add real strength and experience into the team.

In Scotland we now have capabilities across the full market spectrum of water hygiene, treatment and sustainability needs.

Richard Hodgson, our COO feels that, "following our successful merger with APC Technology Plc we are now committed to growth across all aspects of water management.  Our new Country Manager, Graham Maze and his team have an unrivalled opportunity to build a multi-million pound business based from our Falkirk hub.  The world of water is changing rapidly as pressure on this vital resource grows. Our team now have the products and solutions to address customer needs across the full water management spectrum in Scotland, from traditional water hygiene and treatment solutions to innovative monitoring and rainwater capture works we believe our investment in Scotland will deliver real success."

New Solutions

The launch of Real Time Online gives Green Compliance a market leading monitoring solution for both water treatment data capture and reporting as well as broader water and energy usage monitoring.  Using state of the art, secure on-line 3G technology the Real Time Online platform allows customers 24 hour a day 7 day a week access from mobile or desktop to their own secure customer dashboard.  This dashboard captures all the data collected from the monitor gateways deployed on client sites - whether it is assessing total water / utility usage or the chemical levels delivered by a dosing system.

This enables improved management of client systems as well as providing alerts when critical levels or system problems occur.  The platform developed within the APC group is secure, efficient and new to the water market.

Our Sales and Marketing Director, Mike Kennedy, thinks that "Real Time Online is the right solution for customers in today's deregulated water market as it gives control back to the customer, empowering our clients to take decisions based on their own data.  It is the first of our new solutions which we are bringing to the Scottish market and one of the real benefits arising out of our merger with APC."

Further Activity

Additionally we are undertaking a series of local activities to support our business growth in Scotland:

  • In September we joined our local Central Scotland Chamber of Commerce and have launched several programmes to benefit all other Chamber members including discounts for chemical purchases and water risk assessments;
  • We have also got the client roll out of our Customer Portal and Logbook underway in Scotland which gives end users real time access to their water hygiene and compliance data;
  • Green Compliance Water achieved Silver accreditation through the Supply Chain Sustainability School backed by the CITB and other key players across the construction sector;
  • The launch of our Cycle to Work scheme further enhancing our commitment to sustainability and tour wider environment.
  • Consolidation of our supplier base under our sustainable procurement initiative to increase the proportion of total suspend with local suppliers - within Scotland one area this has occurred in is the transfer of all our water and chemical sampling needs to a local Scottish based laboratory.
