Greenpower Energy reported the ongoing exploration works at the Turesi Prospect in the Morabisi project area. Work has commenced on road construction from the Mazurini River landing to the Turesi Lithium Prospect for drilling rig access. A drilling programme will be finalized after completion of the analysis of the current exploration results. Drilling is planned to begin on or about the first week in March when the [current] wet season ceases. Timing will also depend on availability of a suitable rig. GPP's Joint Venture partners GSM are in discussion with a drilling company with Guyana based drilling equipment. The Joint Ventures initial plan is to undertake a 2,000 meter coring programme of around 20 drill holes of 100 meters each. At this stage of the investigation the structural style has not been determined--a job for the drill. The grab sampling programme has uncovered a range of lithium bearing material- spodumene and lithionite. There is strong evidence that the lithium minerals are derived from pegmatites. The size, number, strike, dip and uniformity of the pegmatites remain to be determined. However, the ubiquity of the lithium-bearing fresh detritus in weathered clays is indicative of a widespread near surface mineralized pegmatite system. It is planned that core analysis and lithium beneficiation tests will be carried out in Perth, Western Australia.
