The Trance X E+ is built on an ALUXX SL aluminum frameset that's paired with a new high-performance SyncDrive Pro motor and proven Maestro suspension system. Here's a look at some of the key new features and technologies that make it a great choice for riders looking to step up their trail riding adventures and have more fun on technical terrain.

SMOOTH, POWERFUL SUPPORT

The new SyncDrive Pro motor produces 85Nm of torque, delivering powerful pedaling assistance even at low speeds. This gives riders the ability to ride technical climbs and push their off-road adventures to a new level. The compact motor, co-developed with Yamaha, is significantly lighter than the previous generation for improved agility and efficiency.

The powertrain includes SmartAssist technology, an automatic adaptive support mode. Instead of manually choosing a support mode (Power, Sport, Active, Basic or Eco), riders can opt to ride with SmartAssist, an intelligent system that uses six sensors and advanced algorithms to determine the optimal amount of pedaling support on variable terrain. SmartAssist also maximizes efficiency for both the battery and the rider by always using the right amount of energy. Select models are now powered by the new EnergyPak 750, Giant's most advanced battery system. Cleanly integrated into the downtube, it increases range by up to 20 percent.

TRAIL-RIDING CONTROL

The Maestro suspension system delivers 140mm of smooth, active rear-wheel travel. The rear system is combined with a 150mm suspension fork, and the frame geometry is optimized for 29-inch wheels. The result is a plush feel that gives riders more momentum on technical climbs and the confidence to fly on fast, rugged descents.

The new RideControl Go multi-function on/off button and RideControl Ergo 3 handlebar-mounted remote offer user-friendly controls and an uncluttered cockpit design. RideControl Go is located on the top tube, making it quick and easy to power on the E-bike and change the motor settings.

Beyond the new frameset and electronic updates, the new Trance X E+ includes a full set of components designed specifically for trail riding. All models feature the Giant Contact Switch dropper seatpost with a handlebar remote that makes it easy to adjust positioning on the fly.

ADAPTABLE TO THE TERRAIN

A new flip chip feature lets you change the head tube and seat tube angles, along with the bottom bracket height, to fine-tune handling for varying trail conditions and individual riding style. The low setting gives you slacker geometry that's better suited to faster, more open terrain. The high setting offers steeper geometry and is recommended for tight, technical trails. It's a quick and easy adjustment using two-position flip chips and hardware.

In both settings, the geometry is designed to optimize the superior roll-over capabilities of 29-inch wheels. Boost hub spacing improves lateral wheel stiffness, and the frameset is engineered with plenty of clearance for high-volume tires up to 2.6 inches. Every Trance X E+ model comes with a Giant tubeless wheelset and tires set up right out of the box.

Giant's SmartAssist technology uses six smart sensors that precisely measure the power being applied to the pedals so the motor can provide just the right amount of assistance to create a natural, powerful riding experience in all types of off-road terrain. This helps optimize energy efficiency for both the rider and the bike.
