FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - Gerresheimer shares reacted to the figures for the second quarter with quite strong fluctuations on Thursday. The gain in early Xetra trading was initially 5 percent. The share then turned negative, but was last back up 1.2 percent at 104.20 euros.

The bank UBS noted that investors were cautious with regard to 2024. The pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer's confirmation of its annual targets for 2024 and 2025 should therefore be well received by the market.

Nevertheless, Gerresheimer is now looking more towards the lower end of the annual target range in terms of sales.

Ed Hall from investment firm Stifel, on the other hand, pointed out that growth in the Pharmaceutical Primary Packaging segment had fallen short of the expectations of some Borsians./bek/mis
