Fujitsu Laboratories of America announced that it is hosting the Sixth Annual Fujitsu North America Technology Forum in Mountain View, Calif. today. The theme for this year's event is "Powering a Sustainable Future with Next Generation Technologies". The invitation only event will feature breakout sessions and a technology showcase featuring the latest Fujitsu research and solution offerings from around the world. Keynotes will be delivered by leading luminaries in academia and industry, including John Hennessy, president of Stanford University, Nicholas Negroponte, chairman emeritus of MIT Media Lab and founder of One Laptop per Child Association, Alan Kay president and founder, Viewpoints Research Institute and Tatsuo Tomita, president of Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd.

The event will showcase how Fujitsu's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is leading the way to achieving sustainability, encouraging corporate social responsibility, and addressing human needs in healthcare, education, and social welfare. The featured Fujitsu technologies include smart energy and demand response systems, advances in mobile and image processing systems, new standards in security and privacy and innovative big data enterprise applications.
