Finnlines provides from now on a direct service shuttle from Helsinki to Rostock vv and starts also a new weekly service from Rostock to Bilbao via Zeebrugge to underline the future oriented Rostock strategy.

Helsinki, 15 January, 2013 - At the end of 2009 Finnlines opened a new service between Rostock, Gdynia and Helsinki. "Now after three years of indirect services this line between Helsinki and Rostock will be operated as a direct traffic in both directions and the schedule is ideally integrated into the European railway network in combination with the Passenger segment for the Rostock and Berlin Hinterland," says Finnlines President and CEO Uwe Bakosch.

Operating two weekly roundtrips the Hansa-Class ship Transeuropa offers spacious comfort to the customers during the voyages. All passenger cabins are 20 sqm outside cabins with classical maritime interiors. The cosy buffet restaurant, the classic bar and the sauna and pool facilities cater for a pleasant travel experience.

For trucks and trailers we provide an excellent transport link to the gateway of the south east hinterland of Europe, as well as for passengers travelling from Helsinki to the Eastern Central Europe.

This trend is a consequent further step to provide the industry with a future oriented cargo-passenger system which is highly adapted to the 2015 SECA legislation.
