Global testing company Exova has agreed a three-year contract renewal with GSK to provide environmental monitoring at eight of GSK's manufacturing sites in the UK and Ireland.

Working both on-site and at its environmental laboratories, Exova will ensure GSK complies with all environmental monitoring requirements and drives continuous improvement of its health and safety and environmental performance. Utilising high resolution FTIR analysers and other MCERTS-certified products, Exova will conduct; MCERTS-accredited emissions testing, ambient air sampling and analysis, effluent sampling and analysis, and a variety of other analyses and monitoring. Exova will also provide real time emission profiles to assist GSK in controlling and refining its process.

Dave Postle, Environmental Health and Safety Manager at GSK, said: 'We have developed a strong relationship with Exova who have delivered an effective, competent and compliant service for GSK over a number of years in these specialised areas. We look forward to continuing and developing this over the next three years.'
