The multi-million-dollar agreement, announced today by both parties at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, represents a bold step forward for Alkass, with the replacement of all legacy XT3 servers with the cutting-edge XT-VIA® servers, complemented by the incorporation of IP-based LSM-VIA® replay systems. The solution will be deployed across Alkass' fleet of OB trucks in August.
The solution guarantees support for all the latest formats and codecs, positioning Alkass with a future-ready solution that is adaptable to their evolving needs. With fast and direct access to all content on the network, operators are empowered to navigate through vast amounts of live content, facilitating efficient and streamlined workflows and enabling them to create compelling replays and highlights of every captured moment. Additionally, the solution introduces the option to integrate XtraMotion®, EVS' AI-based super slow-motion service, enhancing storytelling capabilities by transforming any footage into super slow-motion replays.
Mr. Issa bin Abdullah Al Hitmi, General Manager at Alkass, said: "Having experienced the benefits of EVS' XS-VIA servers in our studio operations, integrating their XT-VIA servers in our OB trucks was a natural step for us. Expanding our partnership with EVS, we look forward to elevating our production operations to even greater heights."
Serge Van Herck, CEO at EVS said: "We deeply value Alkass' trust in EVS and we are confident that our LiveCeption Signature solution will offer them unparalleled capabilities for immersive live storytelling and audience engagement."
