Eni announces that its Plenitude company today inaugurated the Villanueva II solar power plant in Torrejoncillo del Rey (Cuenca, Spain), with an installed capacity of 50 MW.

Stretching over some 100 ha, the solar park is connected to the national transmission grid at the Villanueva de los Escuderos crossroads via the Torrejoncillo del Rey power substation and a 28 km high-voltage overhead line.

The installation comprises more than 76,000 photovoltaic modules and will produce 100 GWh/year of electricity, equivalent to the energy needs of more than 30,000 households, Eni assures.
