Edwards Showcases Extended Range of R&D and Scientific Pumps at Pittcon(TM) 2014 27 February, 2014

NIAGARA, NEW YORK, USA. (27 February, 2014) - Edwards Limited, a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems and a global provider of related value-added services, is attending Pittcon™ Conference & Exposition in Chicago, IL, March 2-6, 2014.

Pittcon is one of the leading annual conferences and expositions for laboratory instrumentation, equipment and services across a broad range of applications.  Edwards has a wide range of pumps available on their booth, showcasing technology leadership through innovative products.
Edwards can now offer the complete range of dry pumps from ultra-high vacuum (UHV) through to atmospheric pumping, and has the largest offering of all vacuum companies to the high energy physics and R&D markets, since acquiring Gamma Vacuum in 2013. Gamma Vacuum manufactures UHV pumps, with a very strong reputation for ion and titanium sublimation pumps.  There will be a range of Gamma pumps available on the Edwards' booth.

Also on display at the Edwards' booth will be an operational nXDS10i. The nXDS dry scroll pump's advanced scroll form and tip seal technologies deliver exceptional vacuum performance in scientific, laboratory and R&D applications.  It features the latest in tip seal technology, giving significantly longer life between tip seal changes, and is hermetically sealed for a lubricant-free vacuum.

Edwards' award winning nEXT turbomolecular pump, designed to provide exceptional high vacuum performance in a compact size, is on display. The modular design of the nEXT allows for rapid customization of the pump to meet specific customer requirements with minimal cost impact, and provides reliable performance with easy end user serviceability.

Also operational at the booth this year is the T-Station 75, an entry-level turbopumping station and the smallest in Edwards' range of pumping stations. It provides reliable high performance and is an excellent 'plug and play' solution for those wanting to achieve high vacuum quickly and simply.   There is a choice of either an oil sealed or dry backing pump to meet specific needs.

"We are delighted to be attending Pittcon 2014 with a range of high quality products which demonstrate why Edwards is a clear leader in vacuum technology", said David Steele, Market Sector Manager, Edwards.  "Our knowledgeable team has decades of experience in the scientific industry. Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss their vacuum needs with our applications experts".
