Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECOPETROL) is considering divesting its stake in Invercolsa, two people with knowledge of the matter said. Ecopetrol has sent teasers to potential buyers in order to solicit interest for its 43% stake in Invercolsa, according to one of the people. Ecopetrol's market value is close to $33 billion.
“Ecopetrol is evaluating various divestment options for non-strategic assets,” Mauricio Tellez, a spokesman for the company, said.
