Georges Croix appointed Chairman and CEO of Digital Dimension, a new cloud and digital solutions provider

Georges Croix and Econocom Group, of which Jean-Louis Bouchard is founder and chairman, have jointly invested in Digital Dimension. Georges Croix has been appointed CEO.

Digital Dimension aims quickly to become a major player specialising in designing and managing innovative cloud-based* digital solutions. Ideally positioned to address companies' strategic requirements in terms of mobility, data hosting and security, the company will benefit from around €100 million of funding over three years to support its rapid launch and expansion. It aims to reach revenue of €120 million by the end of 2016.

Georges Croix was previously CEO of Prosodie Group which he also co-founded. He was chairman of the group until December 2012 and negotiated a buyout by Capgemini Group.

Born in 1957, Georges Croix is a self-made entrepreneur who has always strived "to be as independent as possible". He learned about IT on the job and set up his first company at the age of 25. After contributing to setting up the National Lottery in France, he co-founded France's first telematics server centre, Sytem, in 1985. The company was sold to Sligos three years later.
In 1989, he set up IT service company RSDI (Réseaux Systèmes Développement Informatique), which developed a number of IT services for SJT, a company specialising in publishing information over the telephone to consumers. In 1995, he set up another IT service company, Polisoft. In 1998, Prosodie Group was created after merging RSDI, Polisoft and SJT. Georges Croix served there as Director of IT Resources, Director of Networks and Services, Managing Director of Prosodie Europe and finally Chairman and CEO in 2007.
He is currently a mentor for SMBs at the Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a member of the Executive Board of 'Réseau Citoyen Cyberdéfense', sponsored by the French Ministry of Defence, and Chairman and CEO of GCX.com.

*From shared platforms, Digital Dimension will deliver tailored services which will facilitate digital convergence (fixed-mobile, voice-data, IT-telecoms), and offer businesses communication and front office solutions on a pay-per-use basis.
