PARIS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - EDF said in a statement on Thursday that it had lowered its estimate for nuclear output in 2022 to 300–330 terawatt-hour from 330-360 TWH.

It said this was due to prolonged outages at 5 reactors, including Penly 1 following the detection of welding faults.

Last month, EDF already extended outages at four other reactors after similar problems with welding were discovered.
