DSP Group Inc. announced the launch of five new smart home sensors based on ULE technology. The sensors will include security detectors such as motion detectors and smoke detectors, home automation sensors such as smart plugs, and more. The new Everspring sensors include DSP Group's DHX91 SoC solution, which provides support for digital baseband controller ULE functionalities.

DHX91 utilizes an ARM processor operating at ultra-low power, and features an RF transceiver, together with audio and video capabilities. The Everspring sensors leverage ULE's extended range and simple star topology to eliminate the need for repeaters, which are necessary with competing technologies. With ULE, hundreds of devices - including motion sensors, window contacts, smoke and flood detectors, thermostats and more - can be seamlessly connected to one gateway, enabling true remote home automation and monitoring services.
