Immigration update: Spain | Travel limitations from the United Kingdom

Limitation of all non-essential travels into Spanish territory from the United Kingdom have been extended until 2nd, February. The limitation does not apply to Spaniards and Spain residents

Who will be affected?

Individuals coming from the UK except Spanish nationals or Spain residents.

Background

Due to the expansion of Covid - 19, in order to limit the spread and contagion, on January 15th, the Spanish Government has extended until February 2nd at 18:00 h the travel limitation ruled by Ministers Council Conference on December 22th,

Impact

+ All travellers coming from the United Kingdom, except Spaniards and Spain residents, are subject to travel limitation until February 2nd, at 18:00 h.
+ Direct flights and passenger ships between the United Kingdom and Spanish airports and ports are limited, entry is permitted to Spaniards and Spain residents only.
+ Border control in Gibraltar is also reinforced.

Implementation

The Ministry Chamber Order published on January 15th implemented the limitation of travels from the UK due to the health crisis from January 19th until February 2nd at 18:00 h (Spain local time).
