Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Upgrading Visual Experience With Daktronics

New outfield displays, entry display and ticket window bring light to Fox Cities Stadium

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Jan. 18, 2018 - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have asked Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to provide an upgraded visual experience at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin. The company will design, manufacture and install three new LED displays this spring including a new main outfield video display, a marquee and a ticket window display.

'Our goal each season is to upgrade the overall fan experience and this new video display will surely provide a wow factor to all in attendance,' said Wisconsin Timber Rattlers President Rob Zerjav. 'The new video board will be roughly three times larger in screen size than our previous board and, in conjunction with upgrading all cameras to HD, will allow for a crisper picture and greater functionality.'

The main video display will measure 26.5 feet high by 55 feet wide and will feature a 15HD pixel layout to bring excellent image clarity and contrast at wide-angle visibility to every seat in the stadium. It is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

'It's always exciting to continue a relationship that spans a number of years with this new installation for the Timber Rattlers,' said Joey Hulsebus, Daktronics sales representative. 'The team has been a trendsetter with their technology and video displays while consistently engaging their fans at every game. We're looking forward to seeing the final installation later this spring.'

Along with the main video display, there will be a new video display on Casaloma Drive to greet fans as they enter the parking lot as well as a new video display above the ticket windows. The display on Casaloma Drive will measure 4 feet high by 9.5 feet wide and will feature 15-millimeter line spacing. The display above the ticket windows will measure 14 feet high by 19 feet wide and will feature 10-millimeter line spacing.

In addition to the equipment installation, the Rattlers will also receive a bank of hours for the creation of digital content to be produced and delivered at the request of the team.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
