Cyren announced that it will partner with Microsoft to enable Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection customers to leverage Cyren's cloud-based web security technology. Microsoft enterprise customers using Windows Defender ATP will benefit from Cyren's leading threat intelligence to help protect, detect and respond to threats on Windows endpoints. Cyren's cloud-delivered web security technology includes real-time analysis and classification of global threats powered by GlobalViewTM. Customers will apply this powerful technology by defining policies via a simple-to-use policy framework that will be fully integrated into the Windows Defender ATP and its Windows Defender Security Center console. The solution allows IT administrators to offer cloud-enabled, endpoint-based security protection and policy enforcement, eliminating the need for costly secure web gateway appliances. The new integrated offering will initially be made available as a private preview with a select set of enterprise customers during the first half of 2019, with the goal of reaching general availability for all Windows Defender ATP customers later in the year. Once general availability has been reached, Cyren's add-on web security module is expected to become available to Windows Defender ATP enterprise customers as a 30-day free trial via a cloud subscription. At the end of the trial, customers will be able to purchase a cloud subscription and support contract directly from Cyren.
