* School receives $2,500 from Consolidated Connects Educational Grant Program

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Webster Elementary School has been awarded a $2,500 grant to support enhanced access to literacy and educational tools from Consolidated Communications' Consolidated Connects Educational Grant Program. Consolidated joined students, teachers and faculty in celebrating the grant award at a check presentation during the school's assembly on Wednesday, June 12.

This grant will allow Webster Elementary to add ebooks to its library's online catalog system, giving students and families access to wide range of books and resources that can be used to build vocabulary, enhance reading skills, provide resources for projects, and develop technology literacy. The ability to use ebooks through the online catalog will provide access to reliable, accurate and age-appropriate resources for students and their families.

"Webster Elementary School is so excited to be the recipient of Consolidated Communications' generous grant of $2,500 for the purchase of eBooks," said Rebecca Domin, library media specialist at Webster Elementary School. "Adding ebooks to our school library collection will give all families access to a wide range of books and resources that can be used to build vocabulary, enhance reading skills, provide resources for projects, and develop technology literacy when children are not in the school building. The ability to use ebooks through the library online catalog gives families access to reliable, accurate, and age-appropriate resources anytime, anywhere."

"Through our Consolidated Connects Educational Grant Program we are increasing access for students to learn, grow and thrive, and expansion of digital literacy resources at Webster Elementary is a fantastic example," said Scott Brooks, director of government affairs for Consolidated. "Investing in education initiatives like this makes our communities stronger and Consolidated is proud to support the Manchester community and its youth through this grant."

The Consolidated Connects Educational Grant Program funds K-12 schools within the company's service area that provide innovative, technology-focused learning programs to advance creative student learning, develop 21st century skills and promote critical thinking. Since 2021, the program has granted more than $160,000 to 52 schools, impacting more than 14,500 students in the company's service area.
