Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) continues to go from strength to strength, maintains its remarkable performance and grows its list of records that are recognized by the world's most reputable international organizations. One of the latest is The Banker, which named CIB-Egypt the winner of its Bank of the Year Award, on country level.

Despite the vigorous competition in the Egyptian market in general and in the banking sector in specific, CIB-Egypt evidences its leadership and further cements its superior position as Egypt's number #1 private-sector bank in terms of revenues, net income, deposits, loans, total assets, book value and market capitalization. This was only achievable through CIB's strong foundation that allowed the Bank to excel and outperform, backed by its dynamic balance sheet management, consistent operational efficiency, visionary approach and customer-driven strategy. One of CIB's remarkable achievements in 2015 is the acquisition of Citibank Egypt's retail portfolio and cards business, which expands the Bank's market share and strengthen its position as unique provider of premium products and services.

It's worth mentioning that this is not the first Banker's Award granted to CIB-Egypt over the course of 2015. The Bank received four other awards from The Banker Africa Banking: Best Commercial Bank in Egypt, Best Corporate Bank in North Africa, Most Socially Responsible Bank in North Africa and Trade Finance Deal of the Year.
