Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2021. For the fourth quarter, the company reported net interest income was LKR 18,883.05 million compared to LKR 14,073.04 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 5,217.69 million compared to LKR 5,873.13 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.2099 compared to LKR 5.1155 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.2099 compared to LKR 5.1155 a year ago.
For the full year, net interest income was LKR 66,416.33 million compared to LKR 50,868.8 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 24,062.47 million compared to LKR 16,939.95 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 19.4119 compared to LKR 14.7588 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 19.4119 compared to LKR 14.7588 a year ago.
