Coeur Mining, Inc. announced production results for the fourth quarter and full-year 2013. Fourth quarter, production was 4,340,000 ounces of silver and 80,780 ounces of gold, increases of 3% and 27%, respectively, from 4,203,000 ounces of silver and 63,766 ounces of gold in the third quarter 2013.
Full-year production was of 17,012,000 ounces of silver and 262,217 ounces of gold, a decrease of 6% and an increase of 16%, respectively, from 18,025,000 ounces of silver and 226,486 ounces of gold in 2012.
For the fourth quarter capital expenditures is expected in the range of $30 million - $34 million.
For the full year 2013 capital expenditures is expected in the range of $103 million - $107 million.
For 2014, the company expects production guidance range of 17,000,000 to 18,200,000 silver ounces and 220,000 - 238,000 gold ounces.
The company also forecast that second quarter and third quarter 2014 quarters will generate higher production for both silver and gold compared to the first and fourth quarter.
Coeur Mining, Inc. is a precious metals producer. The Company has four wholly owned operations: the Palmarejo gold-silver complex, the Rochester silver-gold mine, the Kensington gold mine and the Wharf gold mine. The Palmarejo gold-silver complex is located approximately 260 miles southwest of Chihuahua, in the state of Chihuahua in Northern Mexico. The Rochester open pit heap leach silver-gold mine is located in northwestern Nevada, approximately 13 miles northeast of the city of Lovelock. The Kensington underground gold mine and associated milling facilities are located on the east side of the Lynn Canal about 45 miles north-northwest of Juneau, Alaska. The Wharf mine is located in the northern Black Hills of western South Dakota, approximately four miles southwest of the city of Lead, South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly owns the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead exploration project in British Columbia. The Silvertip mine covers an area of approximately 40,904 hectares.
