AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS) on Monday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $127.6 million.

The Austin, Texas-based company said it had net income of $2.16 per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were $2.54 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.15 per share.

The chipmaker posted revenue of $548.3 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $511.1 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Cirrus Logic said it expects revenue in the range of $400 million to $440 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $345.3 million.
