Cia. Hering SA : 4Q11 Preliminary Operating Performance

Blumenau, January 9, 2011 - Cia. Hering (BM&FBOVESPA: HGTX3), one of the largest retail clothing and design manufacturers in Brazil, releases unaudited information regarding the fourth quarter of 2011 (4Q11) earnings, as well as additional information regarding the implementation of the Hering Kids stores' format.

Cia. Hering posted in the 4Q11, gross revenue growth of 22.6% compared to the 4Q10, whereas the sales in the Hering
Store chain grew 25.5%, of which 8.1% were in the same store sales basis.
For the year of 2012, Cia. Hering has the intention to launch the expansion of the Hering Kids format. Previous studies have indicated a network potential of 200 to 250 Hering Kids stores, with a size of approximately 60 square meters. Considering the initial phase of introduction of the Hering Kids concept, Cia. Hering plans to open 20 stores within this model in 2012.
In regards to Hering Store, 75 stores should be opened, making up a total of 507 stores by the end of 2012.
