China Candy Holdings Limited announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended 30 September 2016. For the quarter, revenue was RMB 19,229,000 against RMB 20,819,000 for the same period of last year. Profit before tax was RMB 1,638,000 against RMB 5,517,000 for the same period of last year. Profit for the period was RMB 949,000 against RMB 4,414,000 for the same period of last year. Earnings per diluted share was 0.07 RMB cents against 0.41 RMB cents for the same period of last year. For the nine months, revenue was RMB 49,019,000 against RMB 52,942,000 for the same period of last year. Profit before tax was RMB 1,897,000 against RMB 5,828,000 for the same period of last year. Profit for the period was RMB 651,000 against RMB 3,869,000 for the same period of last year. Basic and diluted earnings per share 0.05 RMB cents against 0.36 RMB cents for the same period of last year. The decrease in revenue for the period due to the economic slowdown in the PRC in 2016. The overall decrease in revenue was partially offset by the increase in revenue in the United States, as the Group was able to increase sales to new customers through actively seeking out business opportunities in the region by lowering the gross margin for its products to build up its market share.
