TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Capitol Federal Financial Inc. (CFFN) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $16.2 million.

The Topeka, Kansas-based company said it had net income of 12 cents per share.

The holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank posted revenue of $96.7 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $51.2 million.

Capitol Federal shares have dropped 2.5% since the beginning of the year.
