The US is the largest avocado importer and second largest consumer country of
avocado in the world. Its yearly consumption is estimated to be between 500,000
MT to 600,000 MT, of which 80% is imported.

In 2009 Camposol exported approximately 10,000 MT of fresh avocado and is the
largest avocado exporter of Peru. With the current planted area Camposol has the
largest avocado planted areas in the world and the company expects to produce
more than 60,000 MT when the new planted areas become fully productive in 2016.
The opening of the US market for Peruvian hass avocado will help support the
demand for this new production.

Camposol expects to be able to export avocados to the US market during the
second half year of 2010.
