CA Technologies Distinguished Engineer Joins the Pennsylvania Diversity Council's Board of Directors

PITTSBURGH - January 26, 2012 - Olga Lagunova, Distinguished Engineer at CA Technologies, has joined the Board of Directors at the Pennsylvania Diversity Council, the state's premier advocate for diversity issues.

"We are thrilled to have Olga join the Pennsylvania Diversity Council Board," says Dennis Kennedy, National Diversity Council founder and chief executive officer. "Her experience and dedication to excellence will be a major asset to our organization."

Lagunova joined CA Technologies in 1993 and has worked in the computer industry for more than 20 years. She is a member of CA Technologies Council for Technical Excellence, an architectural think tank comprised of technical thought leaders within the company. She holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Moldova, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was awarded the Vincent W. Lanfear Prize for the highest academic performance.

"CA Technologies believes in sharing its resources, technology and expertise to help others around the world reach their fullest potential," Lagunova said. "This opportunity allows me to assist the council with their very worthwhile mission of creating awareness around diversity programs and issues that directly impact the state of Pennsylvania."

Prior to CA Technologies, Lagunova served as a software engineer in the Legent Corporation and in the Academy of Science of Moldova. Lagunova is active in the technical community and mentors up and coming technologists, helping them develop leadership and professional skills. In her new board position, Lagunova will further the goals of the Diversity Council in order to promote diversity in the workplace and community, cultivate leaders educated in and aware of all aspects of diversity, and develop youth programs supporting diversity education and awareness.
